Two Individuals Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.
Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were seized.
